Why Would Any Woman Want To Be A Member Of My Team?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Salt Lake City, UT

I do not understand why any woman would want to be a member of my team. Most of them are in a relationship. Some are young enough to be my daughters. Hell, one is even related to me. All the ones who are in my age group and martial status have something in common: THEY DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ME BECAUSE THEY THINK I AM A HIDEOUS, REPULSIVE AND WORTHLESS CREATURE. Now, answer the question: Why in the hell do you want to be on my team?

Has Anyone Ever Dealt With People Blaming You For Your Epilepsy

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Hollywood, wv

has anyone ever dealt with people blaming you for your epilepsy or saying things like "you better not have a seizure" or "I can't trust you because you'll just have a seizure". I have a family member who is always using my epilepsy against me like it's my fault, or that I do it on purpose. I just wonder if anyone else has dealt with this and how they have dealt with those mean people in peaceful constructive ways.

My family treat me like I'm contagious. If the family is sitting in a certain place or room and I come in and sit or join them. In less than 5 minutes they would all have gotten up and moved to… read more

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Englewood, CO

Getting Family To Understand

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Rolling Meadows, IL

How has everyone gotten Thier family to understand what we are going through. How scary it is. How we don't have the same abilities. I have times I can't concentrate like I use to. I get frustrated when I don't remember our things don't like they use to. I was able to go do much, but now it's gone. My wife and son just don't get it. They get upset thinking I'm lazy and things like that. I am pretty sure this is there denial and coping. I know there's more to say but let's start here. Thank you… read more

Are You Willing To Do Whatever Is Necessary To Help New Members Feel Comfortable And Quickly Have A Team Of Many?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Lakeville, MA

I ask this because the site owners and techs are not able to provide an additional search option to search for New Members. And there have been too many New Members over the years who have come once or a few times and gotten frustrated and left because they do not get the true benefit of being embraced by a large enough team to not only make them feel welcome but also be able to provide answers and often personal experience regarding any related to seizures (types, symptoms, auras, side… read more
