Edward Both estrogen + testostogen are used by the brain. Usually high levels if epileptic. The rise + fall during menstrual cycle for regular women may cause moods or worry so if epileptic: seizures. Simply cause already high levels which does speed up brain spike even more. Known as catamenial type ask Dr if small increase in meds at time would help. Saw a leader 1988 Dr Andrew Herzoag who confirmed my high estrogen levels did the same. Was an Endocrinologist-Neurologist as well. Ask Dr for more info with all the meds bound to be able to alleviate too.

With all respect A Siezure is like a short circuit switch in our brain 🧠. That turns on and off when thiers a lack of oxygen.
It takes several years for a neurologist to find the right diagnosis for thier patients wellbeing. And to find the right dosage of medicine to control your levels where your brain 🧠 get enough oxygen. Thiers about 46 types of Siezures. It took me years in and out of the hospital having Siezures.i had childhood episodes and my own family didn't know what was happening to me.i started having severe problems with strange feelings and emotions that I didn't have a clue what's going on. My voice started struggling to breathe. None of my family couldn't understand why! I got angry very easy, mood swings that was diagnosis with a Siezure disorder. You don't need to have a periods to get Siezures. That's why thier is so much confusion. That also says about a man that has Siezures. People that doesn't understand living'n'learning our world. Opinions of others that live a normal lives. We have to depend on a medicine to prevent our Siezures from happening. I wake not knowing if I'm going to see my Grandsons, family-friends the next day. I'm scared because I have to wake up to paramedic trying to save my life,my husband and sons with worries about me believe it.we are epilepsy survivor that has taken everything seriously and sees life for what's worth. Those that sees it as a game. Before I had people ask me how does it feel to have Siezures. Thy are fools.

Hormone fluctuations. I'm the same way. I've had epilepsy all my life but my seizures started getting worse when I first started having my menstrual cycle. Now, being in peri menopause, they continue to happen. She may have what's called Catamenial epilepsy. My neurologist said getting a hysterectomy wouldn't help because our bodies still produce hormones after we go through menopause. I hope she can find a medicine to control them. It's hard.

My doctor told me the reason is that fluid builds up and when the fluid hits that scar it will cause it. I had that same problem many many years ago. He put me on a diuretic and it really helped
