How Many People Live On Their Own?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

My roommate is very difficult to live with and I've been saving for years to get my own place (pre epilepsy). Now, I'd still like to get my own place and have started attending open houses. What do you do to be safe? I'm still testing out different med combinations to manage the seizures. thank you

There are numerous issues with living on your own. Can you drive? Do you have someone who contact you daily to make sure you haven’t had any problems. Also how often are you currently having seizures, are they basically controlled by your medication 💊
Wishing you the best 👍❤️🙏

Get inside door handle locks, to prevent you from opening your door when you have seizures
