Have you tried noise canceling ear plugs? I get them from Amazon. They are yellow and pink and work great. And of course there’s headphones that are too expensive for me.

I know this may sound out there, but have you considered using both the ear buds and a head set?

You can get ear bud earphones on Amazon cheap, and I think they are noise cancelling.

You can find essentially noise cancelling ear bud type products. Depending on the noise you're trying to cancel. But they are usually very inexpensive.
