This is a question I specifically asked my epileptologist... is my memory deficit because of brain damage caused by the seizures or is it a side effect of the meds? A baseline neuro-psych test done at diagnosis, before meds, compared with a second test given to get an answer to this question showed that it was most likely med-related. Everything in my brain has slowed noticeably, and adapting seems to be my only choice. It's a pain in the keester, for sure.

My seizures affect my memory. All the most recent things that I had learned are forgotten
