Mount Pocono, PA

So I been trying to figure out why i usually seize a half hour after dinner. Switched to wheat bread and brown rice
Then I narrowed it down to spaghetti and sauce or Chinese food (specific pepper beef and rice from Tai Pei foods
Started making my own pasta sauce.
All good on spaghetti. Common denominator: msg. A web Search showed it still is in use, but by at least 20 other names. Found hydrolized soy protein in jar sauce and peppered beef.

Yah mon, triggers are different for each person. Some of us have common triggers. Just a heads up. Doctor added me an afternoon pill. Now I am not seizing at 630 pm.

Jeff, Triggers do vary for each person. I alternate my medication dosages. However, the magnesium-650mg, the Caltrate with Vitamin D, and an Iron Supplement are part of my medicine each day. The magnesium is supposed to improve bone, nerve, and muscle structure, the Caltrate with Vitamin D is a Calcium Supplement for women who have had breast cancer, and the Iron Supplement is supposed to improve my decreased WBC. Thank goodness this neurologist is open to change and monitoring the effects.

Hi Jeff, I'm sure you're right for yourself but guess it varies from person to person regarding what can trigger seizures. I am not affected by msg to my knowledge and Chinese foods etc have never caused me concerns. Thanks for the info though, any data can help someone out there and I'm sure this will.
