Anyone Trying To Lose Weight?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
New Orleans, LA

I'm currently taking Lamictal. I'm on a weight lose journey (my family thinks it helps with seizures). I'm currently drinking apple cider vinegar & taking zumba classes, along with strength training. Is there anyone that has any suggestions to a better way to lose weight?

I suggest keep yourself busy which means no TV till at night, eat what you want, But stay busy go for walks go shopping just look only, Thats how I always been my whole life, I eat alot but never gain weight and my dr told me i have a high metabolis , I burn it up fast by doing things, people always ask me how do you stay slim for as much as you eat, so give that a try, No TV

Let me know if you find a way to counteract the weight gain. I gained twenty pounds on lamictal. Because of dizziness, I am going off of it. My doc is pushing me to start it again. I don't want it. I think the benefits counteract any bad effects. I want to lose the weight again!!!

I started this crazy ride at 5'8" and 120 pounds. I immediately went up to 220 pounds on Lamictal. On Topomax I came back down to 190, but I think that was more because I was too depressed and miserable to eat than because of the so-called weight loss component of Topomax. Now I am at 167 pounds and holding steady. I try to eat 5-6 SMALL meals (snacks, even) a day and drink a TON of water. I am allergic to exercise now, so that is not a factor. How has the apple cider vinegar impacted you? Does it help, @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member? I have a co-worker that uses it and says it helps, but he also LIVES in the gym....
