Anyone Have Advice On Chiropractic Adjustments Despite Having Seizures?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Richmond, VA

I've gotten the okay from my neurologist to seek minor adjustments. I sometimes have very bad neck pain, and icing it doesn't always do the trick. I also have a VNS.

My doctor told me it could be pinched nerves, from the siezures. She prescribed nerve pain medication, Gabapentin. It seems to work for all nerve pain.

I do get neck pain every now and then because of my VNS. I've seen the doc about it. So far the pain goes away within a few days. That pain will only occur if I sleep wrong or strain my neck some how. If that pain doesn't go away within a few days, my doc said to let her know. She'll check the device and refer me to a surgeon if need be.

Thanks for the advice. :)
My neck pain is in the upper back of my neck. Where my skull connects. I use to fling my neck back as a kid to pop it and gross people put. Despite being told that I'd break my neck doing it. Seems like I'm paying for it now.
