Is It Normal To "check Out" In The Middle Of A Conversation?

I've started noticing lately that when people ask me questions or I'm in the middle of a conversation, I'll just sort of check out for a few seconds and then come back. I know I'm doing it but I can't stop it. When I come back I have to ask them to repeat what they just said because I don't know what was just said. I do that and ask them to start over again sometimes when they get funny with me I just say sorry but I was doing something or my mind was somewhere else

Keep practicing and focus on them and there are many folks who ask for someone to repeat something. If it makes ya nervous be fascinated and like you are receiving something mind blowing. Good health and best of luck with it all. ~ RIk

It may be a seizure- I had a cousin w/ epilepsy that would do that and when I was younger would also do that. There are many types of epilepsy, but that is one type

When I have an 'aura', I can look at a person, but not speak. When people realize it, I motion that they should continue to speak. When I regain my vocal ability, we go over what I heard. By doing that, it tells me how long it occurred.

It could be caused by transmission in the brain not completing the cjtcuit! I think the technical term is yous synapses have a short circuit!
