I don't remember it, but have heard it so many times that it has become a false memory.
Walking into my mom's bedroom, I called out to her. She heard my voice and knew that it wasn't 'me'. Mom ran to me caught my head in her lap. Her training as a nurse took over and she kept me in an open space so that my body wouldn't hit the wall or the leg of the bed. After the seizure, I 'woke' groggy, but aware of who she was and where we were. She kept me on the floor and called my dad to tell him what had happened. After she explained everything, my dad's response (to a registered nurse) was "Are you sure it was a seizure?"
That's where the language used in becomes very colorful and the memory becomes one we can all sit around and laugh at.

Middle of a spelling bee in 7th grade, I was told I was yelling " say the word"

I don't remember my first seizure, but my parents have told me about it. I was 1-2 yrs. old. My parent had laid me down to change my diaper. I went from moving and squirming to my body going limp. Then they said that I turned blue. Shortly I started moving again.they took me to the hospital and that's when they diagnosed me with epilepsy.

I don't remember the first time because I was a baby and now at 62 >I have had epilepsy all my life and I have had so many why try to remember. To me it's just another day to me.

I don't remember my first seizure but if I wanted, I could get the story from my mom and dad. I was 1 almost 2 years of age
