Later This Year Im Flying To London, From Australia, Just Want Some Advice On Medication With Time Change
I'm traveling to London later this year from Australia, i'm worried about time change, with taking medication on the flight and when I get there?
Ask your Dr. as well, he may give you some emergency medications as well.
I used to travel 75 percent of the year for work and 3 weeks a year for personal. When I was just a few hours in time difference I tried to adjust my meds...after 3 days....well lets say it ruined my trip. Another tip for traveling to prevent episodes is drinking lots of water, no caffeine and limit sugars. I always carry my ativan for seizure rescue. If I get an aura I take one. I eat and bring plenty of high ptotien foods that I know work for me... Nuts, hard boiled eggs. cheese, meat whatever
This is a great question. I'm going to be doing some traveling abroad in the summer & I didn't think about time change with my medication. Thank you @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member
keep a watch and alarms set to keep your times the same as home. Even if you have to take in the middle of the night. I have done this, it is worth it.
Adjust slowly 1 hour at a time and remember, taking earlier is safer than taking late.
