Does Anybody Else Have Trouble With Memory?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Ever since I had my first grand mal seizure, I have had trouble with short and long term memory. It drives me crazy sometimes because half of the time it has to do with my son or family. Now I have to write a lot down to help remember something. It really does suck.

We all may lose memory , feel cloudy in the brain, struggle with words, and ect. Both medications and seizures cause our memory struggles

Every seizure will damage your memory as every seizure damages brain cells. There are things you can do and foods you can eat to improve memory function and help cognitive functioning.

I started having grandmals at about five years old and somdtime go afew years seizure free ,about three or four days for me to get back on my feet. All thoze seizures and i can remember any of it..All the rest of the time spotty ,school years only remember some, constant seizures cant do anything but hurt memory. As i get older have to rack my mind to remember even common things. The ooh your getting older gets tiresome.
