My seizures went away after my first baby. I've been seizure free since. Sometimes hormones are a good thing?

Elise ,same thing happened with my cousin She'd had major fits all of her life ,which stopped when she got pregnant.I had a grand mal 6 weeks before I had my first They put me on a small dose of Tegretol I was on this through 2 further pregnancies & was fortunate enough have only 1seizure at night when the children were little I do remember them changing in type ,to partials but again these were few & far between I was told the Tegretol would be in the breast milk & that I should go to a higher mg contraceptive ' pill'

I have had a child and my nurse told me when pregnant there is a chance of your seizures going due to hormone change but I still had a couple but my daughter was fine they just check on u more. Also afterwards u will need ur partner to help for night feeds etc because it will disturb your routine and sleep and family should help. If you get a warning it is best then you can get to a safe place if you have to be left alone with the baby and I also have an alarm on my phone x

thats what im afraid of so much always wanted a baby but now im scared that i wont be able to look after it without fearing that i will have a fit when holding it. or not being able to stay up late as it can cause me to have a big fit. i want a child but what if my meds works and then i have a child and my fits worsen
