Has Anyone Had Hypnotherapy? Do People See It As A Risk?
Ive been having counselling for depression and hypnotherapy was considered but i have read things that say it is a good thing to have with epilepsy and then other things that say you should not do it if you have epilepsy. I have partial epilepsy so i dont know whether i should give it a go.
In my opinion the Hypnotherapy , much like medication. For example. We all react differently on medications. Some of us will have bad side effects. Some of may have moderate to mild side effects.
Same goes for Hypnotherapy. Plus depending on how opened you're to it will also matter on if it works or not. So if your one that is very skeptical about it, it probably won't work. If your opened to the therapy, you have a better chance of it working. But back to my main point . Everyone is going to react differently, depending on how the body will tolerate and handle the therapy. Some people it may work great. For others it may of backfired and made things worse.
It really hard to say . I did a little research too and saw the same thing. Some say that it's helpful . Other sites say that it can make it worse. You just have to figure out whether or not your willing to make that jump or not.
Good luck at what ever choice you make.
Boy, I've not heard anything about hypnotherapy. I try and balance out my time reading about since my diagnosis. I'll ask my counselor and see if she has any input.
