I take the Lamotrigine ER, have been for a long time, and am an insomniac. My neuro imcreased me by 1 pill a day and it did make me sleepy initially but resolved. I would ask for labs to check vitamin levels. There are many deficiencies that can cause fatigue.

Have docs checked her vitamin b12 levels? I had a deficiency that made me sleepy, anxious and seemed depressed. Took a while to be found. Might not hurt to ask the doc to check

I've been taking that for 15 years twice a day. I'm good. I think that is one of the side effects. It should say it on the bottle starting with "may cause..."

I am changing medication at the moment. I tried Lamictal but it didn't suit me. I was like a zombie on it and I eventually got a rash. All these drugs are trial and error. So just monitor it write everything down. It takes a bit anyways for a person to settle on a drug.

Been on Brand name Lamictol 15 yrs no problem at all
