Heat Or Coffee Bring On Seizures?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Newcastle, AU

Just finished a cup of coffee and i had a seizure (I have complex partial, this one was what I'd class as medium sized seizure) its also hot here (23'C/74'F...was 46'C/120'F earlier)
Does anyone have heat or coffee trigger seizures? I'm on @Epilim, @Lamictal and @Fycompa
Before i was on Fycompa i was fine. I also drink diet coke (I'm diabetic so please dont judge) and it has no effect....only the coffee

I think the heat was part of a trigger of mine over the weekend. Ridiculously hot here in Australia. I've heard that sudden temperature changes can cause it too, so for instance drinking a hot coffee in an airconditioned house.

it is a well known fact that steam in showers and caffein or aspartem like coke or pepsi products can cause high intensity factors or seizures so you shouldn't shower alone or go places where there is alot of heat by yourself or drink coke or pepsi products when you are epileptic or coffee they can cause seizures in some cases it's like a sugar high to people just happens
