Headache To Seizure

What causes (has anyone had) a mild headache that has turned into a migraine that has turned into a seizure? Have you seen this pattern and been able to avoid the seizure?

No. Mine just goes from being normally healthy to the Aura, to a seizure....or maybe no seizure. REALLY frustrating not knowing if its gonna happen or not.

I was originally misdiagnosed with confusional migraines. Part of my aura (deja vu, tingling of hands/face, uprising sensation of my stomach, auditory hallucinations), is a headache. I was misdiagnosed with confusional migraines because I would get really confused, have slurred speech. Even if I do know my family's names or where I am, I cannot find the words. I am 100% conscious of what's going on, I just can't communicate it. Or random words will pop out of my mouth lol. It all follows by a killer migraine. After I started having tonic clonics, atonics, and abscenses, it was obviously epilepsy. My "confusional migraines" were actually complex partials (according to symptoms). I have never actually gotten anything on eeg. Anyways, my point is, seizures and migraines coexist. I'm not surprised you are experiencing headaches and migraines before a seizure. There is more than likely a lot occurring in your brain- causing "stress" on it..... good luck with things. Hope this helps πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Mine goes the other way.....first the seizure then the ice pack on my head. Had seizure #6 for the month at 4:15 p.m. & laying on the couch with an ice pack right now. LOL

Yes and when they begin, which has only been in the last year or so I take a 1mg of clonazepam and wait. It almost always will keep the headache from turning into a seizure or at least make it less severe. However with the headaches I get an aura so it is always easy to tell when I need to take that med for that particular type of seizure.
