!!HANGOVERS!!
Okay so this really confuses me and my grandfather both have/ had epilepsy and we both have never had hangover.. is this something to do with epilepsy or are we just lucky?
And yes I know it’s not good to drink with epilepsy and no I’m not on any medications
I would say it is different with everyone. Due to my seizures, and the fact that my dad is a bad alcoholic, I rarely drink alcohol. Sometimes on special occasions, like last night. I would always drink Mike’s Hard Lemonade too, plus other flavored ones. I have only had 1 hangover and one night it did seem to effect my seizure activity. I was having very strong auras every 2 minutes for about 3 hours. Other than that, I didn’t have any other problems. I’m not saying you should drink, but I just wanted to tell you my story about when I’ve drank alcohol.
According to some reports, a return to natural meditative systems is being promoted. Research on the real effects, realistic or fantasy, also seems to be included. Initial results have advanced uses of a combination of natural base and processing with things like hemp plants or marijuana. The alcohol products are even promoted to a low level. Chemical or pharmaceutical products are still expanding with some definite problems being created by reactions and interactions. So, @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, you're definitely correct about having learned and forgotten. Over time importance from differing aspects, seems to change with it. There's always more in this cosmos.
Chester, Whole shot of bourbon. Made me think of my aunt's father in law. He had a glass of wine with dinner every night and a SHOT of bourbon at bed time every night. My aunt says that' why he lived to 100 or there about.
Over a century ago, drugs were either; natural not always safe. Take skull-cap for seizures or head aches, foxglove is still used today as a heart drug but it can be deadly, I think bela donna was used as a sleep aid, it's deadly! We've learned so much, forgotten as much too I venture.
You can’t drink 🍹 any alcohol 🍷 while taking prescriptions medicine especially, anti seizure medicines. The alcohol increases.lthe levels of the seizure prescription it it can triple the medicine levels and you will be in emergency 🚨 room at hospital, don’t drink while on prescriptions. But if you mean like.not being out of it after a seizure as most epileptics are bruised sore confused 🤷♂️ out of it even unconscious so if your not experiencing those effects then your lucky you don’t experience those effects immediately after a seizure.
I would say you’re just lucky. Research does prove that some genetics, by enzymes etc, can tolerate alcohol better than others. If you have Epilepsy, however, I wouldn’t do too much drinking. Your brain is already undergoing damage, as is. No point in making a sponge of it.
