Brain Donation
I am going to ask a question which I know is controversial and a lot of people will not agree with (especially in the states) but here goes: how do people feel about donating their brain after they have passed away to medical science in the hope one day they will find a permanent cure for epilepsy and other brain disorders?
I would donate mine and not think about it. It is not like you are going to need it after you passed away. If they could use mine to find a cure why not.
Iād be happy to donate my brain, especially if it helps Epilepsy Research
I consider it recycling. I figure I'm done with it somebody else might as well get some use from it. I also know from my own experience that when we donated my mom's corneas after she passed when I was young that it was the one thing that brought me joy in a very rough time, to know that someone would see because of my mom. Maybe your choice will bring some comfort to your family and friends. Yes, there are definitely religions that believe that the person can't enter the spirit world with a body that isn't whole, but I guess that's your risk.
I think the idea of donating our brain to science, is a great one. I'm already an organ donor, so, I would be more than willing to do it.
in the usa then you can. the dmv put a sticker on a card.
