Purpose Of This Forum
Epilepsy and its associated problems is serious and needs each sufferer to support one another. So what do people want from this site? advice, guidance, someone to share your thoughts with, a shoulder to cry on. In my opinion it is certainly not a dating site!
It's been interesting to me to see that folk in the USA have the same struggle as folk in the UK. Medication and side effects, other people's reactions. Don't know why it surprise s me but there's a comfort in knowing it's not just me.
Totally not a dating site!
When I’m on here I feel like I’m not alone. I love the support, having people to talk to and getting advice from them.
I like the Q&A section best as it lets me see that m,any of the things I have experienced are not just me and has given me peace of mind and hopefully my replies can help others feel similar relief.
I’m here to share my experences and how I feel about what happens with my epilepsy. I don’t really like talking about it with my family and nobody I know has it. So I have nobody that can relate to the everyday struggles that we go through. This sight is also very helpfull with learning more about epilepsy. I was born with it and I like try to help people who have just found out they have it. I realize it must be difficult for people to find out later in life that they are epileptic. I try to help them with the info and help them.
Support, as I don't really understand epilepsy and feel anxious/paranoid that the way I'm feeling is just an over exaggeration. Just want to be able to understand the illness and other people's experiences and support
