I asked my doc for a prescription and he said it wouln't be covered by insurance and is 500 dollars a month, so I use an RSO, with seizure meds and he is fine with it, just said keep the dose constant and he will adjust meds around it.

I have been taking Briviact and Lamotragine. Epidiolex was available and my Doctor suggested it. The dosage was at first very small. We settled on is 2.5 ML, AM and PM. They would have liked me to take twice that, but one unfortunate side effect is very loose bowels. I am basically controlled, with one less than 30 second seizure while wearing an EEG Cap for 3 days. They also saw some very short 5-8 second events while I was asleep. My triggers are lack of good and enough sleep, not eating enough and well, being overheated and stress. I try to avoid them if possible.

I do not know what CBD oil is, but I can look it up, I suppose.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member but i googled the side effects of both. the epidiolex has more side effects than the cbd oil. i didnt start anything. this is my opinion.

Epidiolex is made from Marijuana the same thing CBD is made from.
It is a purified form of CBD not WHOLE plant CBD
