I have to a video eeg done. I have watched some YouTube videos, but still have questions. Will they just stop all my medications as soon as i am in the hospital? Or what?

over the years I've had about 4 or 5 VEEG's and they always stopped my meds when I got there. They lasted from 3-5 days. I've had changes in my seizures over the years and they got worse as I've gotten older. Good luck with your VEEG. boredom is the worst part since your stuck in a hosptial room! Take a tablet with you or laptop. to amuse yourself, TV gets boring!

It all depends on how long the EEGV is . For one day, they won’t do a thing with meds.

From 4 - 7 days they will decrease your meds little bit at a time everyday.
They want to try and get as big of a seizure as possible.

Thats up to ur doctor. Dont stress over youtube videos. They r just for reference, everyone is different. Dont take them as gospel. Call ur doctors office, if u have concerns or questions. This will give u piece of mind.

Yes. They would have stopped my meds as soon as they wired me up
