How to go about changing from brand name to the generic brand.

Talk to the Doctor who prescribed your meds. Ask him/her to change it to Lamotrigine ( lamictal’s generic )

call your doctor office
they should be able to call the pharmacy and have it changed .

It depends on the drug and who is the manufacturer of the drug. that is why in some cases brand name is better than the generic brand. And in others it is just the opposite. It depends on how the meds affect your system. Only trial and error will tell. Good luck.
