Who Is Or Was On Phenobarbital?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Maspeth, NY

If you are or were on it, how did it feel or were you able to tell if there was or is a difference

I get wake up calls, hyper, excited, vivid dreams, vivid imagination, temptation to take more, and happy. The depression fluctuates. The lower it is the better it is. I don't like to be lowered at all ! ! ! ! !

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member i would say to your dr 'that extra med that i accidentally took made me feel...' and list what you felt. i did the exact same thing happen to me (before the 7 days med box thing).

If You want to change the amount of medicine You are taking, don't wait call Your Dr. before You do. Dr.s are the people that know what to do and not to do. There may be side effects You don't know will happen if the amount of medication is raised, especially if You are taking other medication at the same time. Good Luck!

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I absolutely agree with Patricia here. You don't want to start experimenting with your medications. If you doubt the ability or interest of your neurologist, then get a second opinion from another doctor.

Alyssa 219,
Be careful! Whenever You personally begin to increase a Med like Onfi, remember the toxicity. Always want the Doctor to do it 😀

Tell Your Dr. what is happening to You. It is possible that a medication does not work for You. That has happened to me in the past.
