Sometimes when I get confused or try and work something out and I can’t I jerk it can be small or sometimes my legs can go aswell. My neurologist says it’s not a normal symptom of my epilepsy but it happens everyday and it’s driving me mad. Can anyone help

I know what is. It’s like one limb?
I think it’s called a myclonic jerk.
I do it too. When I’m in awkward situations: When we get together for formal dinner occasions, with extended family, out to eat with friends, and I don’t feel at ease- my right arm jerks-and I spill my drink. I literally have to tuck my hand under my leg and sit on it, to remind myself to keep it off the table.
I was known for knocking my beer over at my favorite bar too. Bartender started calling me out for it. “You’re not gonna knock your beer over again all over my bar are ya?” 🤐.

Also when sitting on the sofa, watching Tv, and starting to get sleepy, you get a single limb jerk?

Are we talking about the same thing?
Much love -Jeff

Ugh that’s my life. I can definitely relate. Being on meds has drastically decreased those jerks but I’ve also noticed taking multivitamins and fish oil has helped decrease them as well. Maybe you could try looking into vitamins. I know fish oil can be beneficial for your brain.
