I Have Malabsorption Issues That Started On Top Of Epilepsy. Anyone Else Need To Take More Meds More Often For Control?
My pancreas stopped working. I take Vimpat Phenobarbital Felbamate and Diamox.
Lucky for me I only have seizures every few years. There are times I feel embarrassed being on this forum. I am so glad to hear that the DBS has helped. It sounds like it has made a big difference in your life. I had to look up refractory too. Idiopathic I all ready knew. I worked in veterinary medicine and the terminology is the same. I know just enough to be dangerous. 😜😂.
Thanks for the information. I am constantly learning. Hoping I won’t stop either.
Thanks for sharing your story.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member it is sad when you break the internet just trying to find out what you consider basic facts
Im on 5 AED medications and one recovery medication ( use when needed ).
I’m on Keppra, Lamotrigine, Carbatrol, Fycompa and Clonazepam. I take them 3x a day. Then there’s Lorazepam, my recovery med.
I am now taking 100 mgs. Briviact 9 AM and 9 PM, 2 25 mgs. Lamotragine, and 2.5 ML (250 MG) Epidiolex at 9 PM. I also take 15 mgs. Onfi at 9 at night. As a child, I took my meds 3 times a day. Eventually they let me take meds not a lunch but after school. Kids can be cruel to other children who are somehow different.
I’m on five medications, take them three times a day and equaling 20+ meds a day
