Does Anyone Reading This Have A Medical Alert System?
I recently purchased one for my daughter, when she is home alone, she wears a watch that has a button she can push if she feels a seizure coming on. Pressing the button sends a signal to a base station in our home which triggers an alarm to the Emergency Response Center. The center can talk to my daughter real time to make sure she is ok. If she is ok, they sign off, if not, they call 911 who will come to our house. We also have a fall detect necklace that will send a signal to the base station… read more
Hi we have a necklace that my son wears that is connected to our alarm system and when he pushes the buttons they call if no response help is sent right away.
wearing one brings peace of mind to my parents and allows me to live alone and maintain more independance.
( Wearing it backwards has helped me from hitting the button as easily)
I also have a medic alert wristband and a My ID wristband. I like My ID because if i have a seizure i don't have to dial a number, emt can scan a barcode on the band and can access my medical record in minutes. I don't have worry about explaining.
I have a medic alert bracelet.I don't have the awareness to press a button on a necklace ,I'm not sure when my partials are starting .My 93year old m-in-law has a necklace &wristband that alerts a call centre She fell once &wasn't wearing it ! she has used it since I can see why these systems would give a person &their family peace of mind
I have a medical necklace that I wear .
