Folic Acid and Folate are different forms of the same Vitamin ( B9 ) .

Benefits
Help DNA repairs
Helps cells Grow, Divide and work Properly
Produce certain proteins
Also helps Red Blood Cell mature

There are food that has the same benefits
Broccoli
Citrus fruits
Spinach
Beef liver
Kale
Avocado

I have been on it for years .

It is also supposed to help prevent birth defects in your kids. Different meds take your supply of certain things. This would be a great
md or pharmaceutical question.
