Medication Question
How is Xcopri? What are side effects?
I don't want to come off of phenobarbital
Xcopri has been discussed here frequently. My daughter has had success with it. She’s had surgery, RNS implant, numerous meds. She continued to have seizures and auras. Her doctor recommended Xcopri in March, and she hasn’t had a seizure since. I understand meds effect others differently so good luck if you decide to try.
Feel free to reach out to me for other questions .
My neurologist has been wanting me to go on it forever but I always tell him no I've heard great things from others but for me it's just to risky for me. First of all the interactions with other medications I'll be weaned off onifi while he would of put me on xcopri and xcopri has bad interactions with onifi some missed that .it also has bad interactions if you take it with brivact and am on that medication to and would still be taking it also you shouldn't take it if you have or have had depression and I battle depression so that makes it worse and then it's just the laundry list of all the other potential side effects be they common or rare. I have enough to deal with so I denied the switch.
Just like for anything else, which side effects you get is different for each individual
However, here are the link to Xcopri and then all of its side effects
