Time Change
Hi I hope everyone is doing good.. my granddaughter age 4 started having uncontrollable seizures & different seizure combinations this year, after trying different Med combinations, she’s currently been having success with Vimpat genetic & deprakote sprinkles & levocarnitine..We had the time change, falling back & noticed she seems off..we’re wondering does this affect anyone else? & how often are your levels monitored?
I've noticed this in myself, but I've always just blamed it on the sleep cycle changing, not necessarily because of the time change itself
She maybe experiencing side effects of the meds. You could look up the side effect on drugs.com . One or more of the meds could be making her look off.
To be honest i dont know how often the levels should be monitored. Personally i would say until you're confident they are controlled regularly, after once a year, but i would like some clarification on this myself.
Yeah being thrown off your sleep routine can really mess with your brain.
I have noticed a big effect with time of taking my meds. Being on a schedule can be important. I keep an alarm set, not only to remind my because memory is bad often, but also to keep the meds on a good schedule. There is something about time that I don't completely understand but it does effect the seizures. I sure hope for the best and will certainly pray for good things. Best of luck and love to your family.
