Over here in the USA , anyone who has disabilities, Vulnerable adults, and any Neurological disease, disorders syndromes and ect, will not keep the kid or children. Depending on how sever the condition is , will answer whether or not we have parental rights of seeing the child(s).
I do hope that 50% custody is the outcome.
I'm from The States but is there anything I can do to help? That's just so terrible. Sending positive thoughts and vibes.
There are also times where kids could have been seriously hurt had we not been there.
