What's The Difference Between A Neurologist And A Neurologic With Just Your Spine ?
Is there a difference between the spinal tap into the brain stem nurologicaly or is it the same?
In a spinal tap is a needle inserted in the lower back ( between two vertebrae /spinal bones). A sample of cerebrospinal fluid (this fluid surrounds the brain and spinal cord).
NEUROLOGIC refers to a branch of medicine that deals with the brain it's not a "thing"
NEUROLOGIST is a doctor who specializes in the brain
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I think this post is talking about nerve conditions related to the spine so not really related to epilepsy. Neurologists can special in this area. I know someone who had a hip operation go wrong and from there was in chronic pain they found out it was related to nerves. She had to have an appointment with a neurologist as part of the treatment and of all the things they ended up doing she is now on Anti-seizure medication to help with the nerve pain. As I said not really an epilepsy story but sometimes Neurology does branch out.
