Impossible
i read on google things people with seizures should avoid and i saw that one of things you should avoid is your time of the month [period] tell me how can anyone expect that its literally impossible so basically i'm doomed to have a seizure because i get my time of the month what does this mean?
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , My seizures aren’t as frequent or severe as some peoples however I don’t have auras & so I don’t always know I’ve had a seizure unless I notice something is odd or someone witnesses it like my Mom or stepdad who I still live at home with. I don’t think I ever felt like when I had a seizure was due to my time of the month. So I don’t think every female is effected with having a seizure around their cycle. In October 2021 I began peri menopause & the hot flashes come & go & can be awful & can interrupt my sleep but luckily for right now they have stopped. So don’t worry, if you haven’t experienced any seizures all these years around your cycle, I wouldn’t start worrying after reading an article about it but you could talk to your doctor like the other team members suggested & if you feel it’s necessary then you could ask for something to help you that one of the team members mentioned. Good luck. Your friend in Texas, Becky
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , If you’d read the responses that you’re writing about, you’d know that Pam’s message wasn’t written to the person who first posted this, it was written to another member’s post from earlier this month. Everyone has their own right to respond to any messages, whether it be old or new & if you’d pay attention current responses are on there. Stop trying to tell people where they should comment. If you don’t want to comment on something fine, but apparently others find it beneficial.
I mean I already had a baby but it wasn't from birth control honestly I'm not sure how I didn't have a seizure my whole pregnancy especially since they had to cut back my medicine on top of taking more medicine for gestational diabetes and the chances of getting pregnant on birth control is like 1% out of 100 so I'm not worried about something like that My time of the month is so irregular from birth control that I only get it once a month and then I don't get it again until it next month I guess which is fine I guess but I appreciate everyone's support and answers
I been getting my time of the month for years and never had seizure idk if it's because my seizures are controlled by medicine or if it just hits you at a certain age
I used to be susceptible to seizure activity just before my period. I used to have to pay particular attention to staying away from caffeine, getting enough sleep, and my neurologist would tell me not to drink too much liquid (more than 8 glasses) a day. That last was always most difficult for me, especially in the summer.
Is It Possible, Seizures Are Caused By Family Warfare From Either Side?
Sleep
Stress Causes Seizures So Easily. Could It Be Possible Going Through Enough Stress Make A Person Epileptic In The 1st Place?
