Has Anyone Been Diagnosed With Hyponatremia (low Blood Sodium)?
I have focal impaired awareness seizures, focus mainly (L) side & sometimes (R), early adult onset. They're not completely controlled by medications, so I've been on many meds throughout the years. Poor balance and blurry vision can be dangerous. Your doctor can help you.
I had hypernatremia several times! Medications did it to me.
My Epileptologist in MD is my buddy! My new one is nice but if I had a problem, my friend in MD tells me what to do! I decided that have him for my Dr. Again!
Please do! Even read up on it. I never heard of hyponatremia until I had routine blood work done. One never knows the havoc epilepsy meds plays on our bodies. I had an extremely low vitamin D deficiency caused by my meds preventing absorption of that important vitamin. Through frequent testing for vit D and now supplements, my level is normal.
I've never been diagnosed with hyponatremia but after hearing your symptoms I'm definitely going to get tested for it because I've been having some of the same symptoms for weeks now (especially the constant dizziness and confusion amd funny vision but dizziness upon standing and walking is most prevalent...everytime I stand and walk lately). So thanks for your post!
