Role Of Cerebellum In Seizures

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Atlanta, GA

I have not had an EEG match with a seizure. An MRI revealed a "very old infarction" in the cerebellum. 50 years ago I spent a week in the hospital after experiencing what must have been a stroke. There was lots of testing but no conclusions.

IF this were the origin of a seizure, are there any anti-seizure meds that are more likely to work?

It's possible it may just be a case where they can only pick it up via MRI and not EEG. A lot of Epilepsy patients can have this issue depending on the source of the problem.
