I Was Diagnosed With Temporal Lobe Seizures One Year Ago At Age 47. They Do Generalize And They Are Scary. Anyone Else Have Adult Onset?
I also have T.L.E. I HAVE the R.N.S implanted in my skull. I've had episodes since 1-28-2014. I have episodes on both sides of my brain,I have blackouts, as well as seizures in my sleep. My seizures have went down since I had the R.N.S. implanted. As well as oxicarbimazpine medication.
I am 48 and have TLE. I had my 1st documented seizure at age 21 and had a VNS placed in 2008. I have gradually lost control of my epilepsy and had to leave my career as a registered nurse in 2017. I am now being re-evaluated for surgery to remove the pea-sized defect in my left temporal lobe. When I was first diagnosed in 1994, the neurosurgeon told me that I wouldn't be able to speak if I went through with the surgery. I am pretty apprehensive still, but can't take the side effects of these horrible meds anymore.
I don't know if I blackout. I don't remember a lot of things. I do remember the diagnosis. Add migraine to that too
I have Left Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. Which tgive me blackouts , Complex partial seizures. And absence seizures.
