As Jack and Mantle already stated, a simple blood test is all that is needed. The majority of epileptics do seem to be more prone to having a Vitamin D deficiency. In my case, my neurologist put me on 'mega doses' of Vitamin D for the better part of a month(50,000mg/day).

I agree with Jack. I just had a blood test when I learned my vitamin D level was dangerously low.

When I was treated for Breast Cancer, they always tested for Vitamin D. You have to ask a Doctor to prescribe the Blood Draw.

Blood test. There is a Vitamin D-specific test they can use. It probably gets picked up in LFT as well.
