How Does Coffee Effect Your Epilepsy?
I have seizures most nights in my sleep, they are not yet controlled. My memory becomes effected and routine is very difficult. I seek some type of daily routine. When my memory of the previous day, week, month, year, ten years becomes wiped apon waking up from my regular nightly/morning seizure the only first step of the day routine I can come up with is coffee. Probably because of it's chemical decency...any ideas?
Coffee, or any other caffeine, really doesn't affect me
Coffee has caffeine and it is a trigger for seizures. Along with sodas, chocolate and energy drinks. All are triggers for seizures. If you have doubts, try doing without coffee for 10 days and see if there is a difference.
Thanks.
As for the question here, I can't tell if my condition is affected by coffee or anything else really, I do drink my coffee in the morning like norm, and then I may have a seizure and has happened, I don't know if it was the coffee or what, I get tired of trying to guess what is the trigger for them, I used to wonder about that, but I now don't, I've accepted a while ago and am ok with in my life with, they are more stable now than before and I'm ok with that, so is my doc, still happen time to time, my opinion,
I'm a coffee lover and my Drs including heart Dr says no negative things about drinking in moderation so I'm down too about 20 oz a day. Seen heart Dr today to discuss AFiB I've developed since last seizures. But coffee is still a go 😁
