Does Anyone Know Of Any Support Groups For Care Givers
My wife is having a really hard time adjusting to our new life, she doesn't drive and I can't now, she asks all the time, what do we want to do, where do we want to go etc. I need to hook her up with some support of some kind.
Thanks.
You might inquire at your local hospitals. They often have dedicated community rooms for different kinds of support groups. There has to be a demand for caregiver support everywhere.
Yeah the Day to day gets us all I think π I have to say this hamas Israel conflict shuts down any complaints I have. Everytime I hear something new I just cannot imagine the inhumanity...Anyway it helps me to look at my challenges as an opportunity 4 spiritual growth. The 7 deadly sins are on my mind these days and I learned a new (to me) hindu chant. Om mani padme hum. Look up the meaning, it is really aspirational. All the best to u both ππ

My daughter lives close by and comes if we need her, itβs the day to day that gets her.
Why do you not try having you wife sign up on this website, maybe she can find a companion to discuss things. There are a lot of people on this website going through the same thing.
The Epilepsy Foundation has offices in each state, and if you contact them online, they may be able to refer you to support groups or information for dealing with our feelings of alienation. I would contact them in your search for local resources.
