I've discussed my marijuana the thc, cbd,etc use with all or my Dr's no smoking is the issue due to lung issue and my cardiologist isnt 100% on board. Drinking is a no way; much worse than marijuana guaranteed seizure, hard alcohol. Alcohol can cause seizures all on its own. As always everyone is different, do what's best for you and what works for you. After all these years that is my best advice. 🤗

I am a recovering addict. Meth was my preference although you know how it is. Doing drugs that cross the bloody brain barrier like meth, crack, cocaine, alcohol, etc change the way the neurons in our brains fire and connect or don't fire and connect causing seizures as well as allowing us to get high. Personally for me I smoke weed. This helps me with my seizure control, keeps me California Clean as they say, doesn't mess with my meds, helps me sleep and deal with all the physical and mental health issues I have. Hang in there

When I was in College I drank, but very little. I would drink 2 over 4 hours, and soda or water the rest of the time. I tried Marijuana once, but it only made me talk more. Never again. I thought mixing the meds with drugs would possibly kill me.

When taking AED ( anti epileptic drug ) medication(s). , there are many over the counter drugs that reduce the strength of the seizure medication .

Now imagine any strong illegal drug . They would take over the AED medication. It wouldn’t have no effect , in controlling your seizures.
