Losing your teeth, chipped teeth and such etc, or anything else like that.

I lost half of my teeth and I took Dilantin for 35 years. I also took Tegretol for 10 years. About 10 years ago, I asked around in another epilepsy website and found several people who took Dilantin had false teeth.

Yes it does. But there’s still arguments over whether do or not. I was or Tegretol and this does but I’m now on Keppra and there’s lots of conflicting articles about how it affects teeth.

I was on Dilantin (Phenytoin) for 50 yrs. I had swollen gums which is a side effect of it, just as @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , I had my gums shaved multiple times. Now that I'm off the Phenytoin my gums have receded & have exposed lower portions of my teeth.
I never had issues w/ chipping teeth. Even w/ calcium supplements I developed severe osteoporosis until I switched to Lamotrigine. Once I was off the Dilantin my bone density returned to normal.

Just had a tooth pulled, have 2 chipped teeth, and losing my enamel. Unfortunately, all of the vitamin D and magnesium I have already taken over the years has been no help. It's sad 😔. And I was always the girl with the pretty smile.
