I’ve had cognitive therapy before and it’s very helpful, also hard to find a psychiatrist that specializes in it.

I've been also diagnosed with psychogenic non epileptic seizures. PNES is more with the mental aspects of having epilepsy. Such as different therapys, CBT therapy, goga, meditation. PNES is anxiety, stress or depression from having and living with epilepsy. It helps gives tools to help with triggers of stress, anxiety. It is more mental therapy along with treating the epilepsy, which contributes to the PNES.

Judith, I'm not sure. Hopefully someone who has done that can explain it to e. My thoughts would also be to call your doctor's nurse she should be able to explain it to you. I'm not sure but it could be worth a try.
