Does A “Good Cry” Make You Feel Better? Or Worse?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I feel better. Once I’ve settled down! I read that crying produces endorphins that improve your mood. Having had my share of tears, I believe I’ve bumped into my share of calming endorphins. Really!

I can not cry. Even after my Mother 's death I cannot cry. I saw my Primary Care MD Monday. I asked him. He said " You had a severe Traumatic Brain Injury 7-2012 and Epilepsy started 2024. Your brain has been finding new pathways for years. You will cry. You look great keep doing the same things and I will see you in 3 months.🤗" No one expected me to live after brain injury 7-2012. Now celebrating 12 years recovery in July! GOD IS GREAT! I had prayer chains going around the world for me. GOD HAS BLESSED ME! If Epilepsy is the worst I have, I have it made!❤️☝️💤💤

I am exercising, and that creates Endorphins as well. Exercises are also good for your mind.
