For some people a vns is a great option. I had 2 brain surgeries and now I'm a teaching lesson for the hospital in at. Every brain is different. Every treatment affects ppl differently. I'm controllable and cured. So I can have break threws which I did the other day. They didn't have a clue what to do. I work in an eeg lab! I feel super unsafe but they're saying I'm a safety issue. Don't listen to other ppls negative bc things happen. I had great doctors that take great care of me. Listen to your options. Factor in your lifestyle. And choose what you think is best for you. Vns isn't for everyone. And I believe it can be removed. You don't have much to lose.

I have a VNS and it stops some of my seizures and most of the ones I have happen without warning.

Doctors have talked to me about removing my left temporal lobe because that’s what side my seizures start on. I have an RNS now though.

I didn’t have any luck with the VNS. I got mine taken back out. Others have had better luck though
