Is Anyone Else On Licosamide Or The Name Brand Vimpat?
Tonic clonic with aura Epilepsy since 3 days old and been though tons of medicines growing up.
I am on Lacosimide. I have been on it a few months now. It has taking awhile to get used to. It used to make me feel drunk in the morning with numbness in my tongue and blurred vision. Everything has seemed to ease up except I typically have a headache mid day and into the evening and my vision. Reading is hard due to not being able to see all the letters. I am going to discuss this at next neuro appt. Have you experienced any issues since you started it?
I had headaches for a while in the mornings but I was taking ibuprofen to counteract that, just something it takes for the body to get through, I'm guessing. I've never experienced the drunk feeling or numbness and for blurred vision...my wife says I'm basically blind already lol so idk how to comment on that. Overall it works for me, I'm on 100mg morn/night and I only have mine if I'm stressed, overheated or don't get my sleep.
I'm on lacosimid, and Dilantin. . Every thing is going well with the medication. All the way through school,to the 11th grade, I had Grandmall Seizures .On the 14th of February 1979, I was in the O.R. for 6 hrs. I use to be picked on because of this. Once everybody found out how serious the operation was, I was never picked on again. It didn't cure it out all the way, but I am doing things that I couldn't do before. After having a long time with epilepsy, my doctors persuade me to file for my SSDI.
I am not and am not familiar with it. Hopefully someone on this site will be.
