Getting a epilepsy alert dog is can be extremely expensive due to the training the dogs need to go through, however there are multiple charitable organizations that have seizure response dogs that can help assist and over time can sometimes learn to detect oncoming seizures. Golden retrievers, labs and poodles can be great options. You should check online to see if there are any organizations near you that have seizure response dogs

I have a GSD mix. He is not medically trained; but can sense mine. If we are out walking he will put me in the safest place possible and stay with me.

I'm also low-income and I have been looking for a year. Waiting lists, paperwork, deadlines. It's a never-ending disappointment. I will never give up, having a dog is too important to me. I live alone and had many injuries that could have been avoided. I will never stop looking for my furry companion 💜.
