How do you feel after a seizure when you’d done well going without one for a long time.. I feel scared & it’s the not knowing I guess. I dread another will happen, I’m guessing that normal?

Oh I do worry but not as much because that’s what put stress on the mind and then there more changes of you having a fit because of the stress so I try and keep relaxed and that pic was from about 18 months ago I think not sure and yeah bubble wrap is what ya need head to toe with just a hole to breathe out of and I’ve noticed trying to have a relationship with some is hard as well because the min you say I have epilepsy a lot of people say bye even when they say I’m not a person who judges someone on the disability

Hey I know that feeling I went seven weeks with out a fit and was feeling so happy inside think oh I’m finally getting better and I won’t have to worry anymore well as much to then have three in one day and ended up having to stay in hospital because I damaged the front, middle and back of my eye socket and fractured my jaw and sliced my bottom lip open and ever since then every time I have a fit I put it on my phone how many weeks and days I went and then if I have another one I reset the clock because then I have some sort of chart and mite be able to stop having them that close together. It mite sound silly but it really does work and here the pic of my face

I don't fear the epilepsy. The toughest thing I currently have to deal with is how people react around me - some are better than others.

For years I’ve had my MedicAlert bracelet, with its medallion with the emergency phone number. That way, no matter where I am in a seizure emergency, an emergency responder can access my health records over the phone (or electronically), and medical professionals would know exactly what drugs I’m on, and for what. I also carry [in my purse] a whole day’s medication regimen, in case I’m out of my home when I need to take something. So, yes cover your bases, and no one likes when we fear that something bad is going to happen. But, also allow yourself to relax and know that epilepsy is a condition, it is not who we are! Best wishes for a seizure free weekend…
