How Many People Still Go To Movies?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I haven't gone to a movie since I was diagnosed 1.5 years ago. The flashing lights haven't had any impact on me during tests and everyday life, but music is. I was invited to a movie and I haven't responded yet if I am going or not.

yeah - I prefer to wait a couple month and not only can I get them at the library for free, if there are flashing lights or loud sounds I am having trouble with, I can put it on mute, fast forward or not look at the screen.

Certain music would do it to me. I was afraid of flashing lites ! I told my Dr. this he suggested 2 things, yoga and change of medication. I love movies at home and the theater. Plays are fun to go too!
I hope you find your answer!

I only go to the movies as a date. Other than that I watch all my movies on streaming services.

I went a couple of times after covid. But due to having light headaches after the last visit, i don't go anymore. I wait 3 to 4 months later and i can view the movie at home and keep the lights on.
