There is what they call Postictal Paralysis . It happens after the seizure.

Sleep paralysis is a factor of non seizure patients. Seizure patients are all human. Haven’t seen to much of it in sleep studies on seizure patients but it does occur. Check meds, sz activity and ask your physician if you should have sleep study. When working at the VA put monitor of oxygenation levels on patients. Monitored emg where patient was having symptomology. Extra eeg electrodes between C3, CZ & C4. It was interesting some patients showed no difference and others showed less EMG others had very little sleep spindles others were normal!
