So I Was Told By Someone Years Ago That The Medical Treatment In Scotland ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ Is Free There For Everyone No Matter What ๐ฎ
Is it true or not ?..Because the United States ๐บ๐ธ is ridiculously expensive
It Depends On The Health Insurance & The Medical Conditions, Which Really Don't Make Since. No One, Anywhere Should Pay For Medical. I Have Health first Complete Care Plan, So Everything Is Covered For Me.
It's partially true. The National Health Service in Scotland offers free healthcare to citizens that are employed. Healthcare costs are paid via taxes. This means longer wait times, however, than in America due to the larger amount of people receiving healthcare.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Canada isn't free but they do have a very similar system to Aus and the UK. Aus and the UK aren't free either, but you don't get the very high costs the US has. In saying that though they do have public visits where you go and see the Neuro and the health system pays, they did have this for GP visits as well, but the bulk bill system is failing in Aus at the moment, so you have to pay for GP visits at the moment.
I'm not sure on that I would google it. I know some countries have deals with other countries so people from other countries depending on where they come from can access the health system but to get full benefits the countries need to be signed up as part of agreement. Australia has Agreements like this with 15 countries I believe.
Thanks For The Info JimD3 ๐๐๐, I Never Knew About Scotland's Situation.
